HOUSTON, TEX- Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. was listed today on the Pink Sheets OTC securities (www.pinksheets.com) and will be trading under the symbol CWRN.

JAN. 14, 2006
HOUSTON, TEX- Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. agrees to negotiated terms and conditions and issues a corporate Letter of Intent to the Astrolabe Mining and Development Corp. of Manila, the Philippines to undertake a geological study, and to develop and operate the massive 10,000 acre “Pacific Pearl Iron Mineral Reserve” located on Luzon Island, the Philippines on a royalty fee basis. The Geological Survey is scheduled for the second quarter of 2006. Chemical Analysis of the iron ore has been presented to two major steel producers in Asia, and it is anticipated that long-term off-take agreements for the grade A magnetite will be initiated by the end of June 2006.

MEXICO CITY, MEX- Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. signs a mineral lease agreement with Minera Santa Lucia, S.A de C.V. of Mexico City, Mexico for the rights to the 30,000,000 metric ton “Los Pozos Iron Mine” located in the state of Michoagan, approximately 55 miles from the Pacific Ocean Port of Lazaro Cardenas. Environmental Impact Studies, Mining Plan and Permitting will begin in September 2005, with infrastructure work to begin in the second quarter of 2006. It is anticipated that the first shipment from Los Pozos Iron Mine will be in the third quarter of 2006.

COLIMA, MEX- Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. signs a mineral lease agreement with Nexus Pacific Mining, S.A. de C.V. for the rights to the “Rio Fox Iron Mine” located in the state of Colima, Mexico, approximately 65 miles from the Pacific Ocean Port of Manzanillo, Mexico. Infrastructure work is scheduled to start in August 2005.
